Midori Mahl is a graduate of the New York University School of Law, with undergraduate degrees in Law from Chuo University, and in International Relations, Magna Cum Laude, from Sophia University

She is admitted to practice law in California and New York, one of the few native Japanese to possess both bar memberships. She continues to be a member of the American Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

She is an adjunct professor at Graduate School, Tohoku Univ. of Arts and Design.  She wrote "Hollywood Business" published in Japan and S. Korea, among others. 

She writes for movie magazines, newspapers, web magazines and others.  She teaches US copyrights and Hollywood entertainment businesses at colleges, film schools, law schools and other educational institutions.
